I have never been one of those people who is absolutely in love with pets, but a few months ago I knew that I was going to need to develop an appreciation for animals. My roommate brought home a rescue animal, and she seemed pretty attached to it. I started working every day to develop a bond with the animal, and eventually we developed a little bit of a mutual understanding.
